Mathematica is a program of a comprehensive set of mathematical, scientific, engineering, and financial functions. Software Central provides annual departmental Mathematica licenses at a significant discount.  Technical support is available via Software Central.

The agreement also provides licensees with a complementary home use license with a purchase of an office use license.  Home use must be arranged separately directly from the Wolfram home use website.


Annual JMP licenses are available from Software Central at substantially reduced prices. Part of the SAS family of products, JMP dynamically links statistics with graphics to interactively explore, understand, and visualize data. Designed for anyone who wants to discover relationships and outliers in their data.  The latest release adds advanced analytics like generalized regression, mixed-effects models, advanced consumer research analysis, reliability block diagrams and more.


UC has several IBM agreements; one for Services, Software and Hardware; one for Lotus products, and a negotiated price schedule for ESSO Enterprise Software and Services. These agreements allow customers to purchase licenses, disks, documentation, maintenance, and technical support separately or in any combination from an external reseller.

Google Apps for Education

Google Apps for UCLA  is a suite of hosted email and collaboration applications for schools, universities, and non-profit organizations. This suite of services includes Gmail (Google’s email service), Google Calendar, Google Docs (Google’s web-based office software suite), and more.


EndNote for Windows and Macintosh is an all-in-one tool that can search online bibliographic databases, organize references, images, PDFs and other files, and construct papers with built-in manuscripts.  EndNote is used by researchers, scholarly writers, students, and librarians.
